New to WBC?
Come as you are...
It's not something we are just saying, we really would like to see you just as you are! Whether you believe in God or not, whether your life is together or not, whether you are employed or not, married or not, there is always a loving welcome for you at Whitchurch Baptist Church.
Below you will find some basic information about us from the questions we get asked the most. We hope this gives you a little flavour of our life together as the Baptist Family in Whitchurch.

How big is Whitchurch Baptist Church?
We are a growing church, currently with a regular attendance of about 40 people from all ages.
Do you celebrate Communion?
Yes, we celebrate communion as a family normally on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
What is a typical Sunday like?
We are a relaxed church. We arrive for a service start time of 10:30am. We sing as part of our worship to God, we read the Bible and reflect on that either through a sermon or discussion. After the service we have tea, cake and fresh filter coffee and a time for fellowship. We do not take an offering as such, but there is opportunity for any who wish to place their gift for God's work in a receptacle in the sanctuary entrance.
What is the worship music like?
We have some very talented musicians in our congregation. They lead us in our sung worship, we sing very modern songs as well as classic hymns.
Is there Children's Work?
We are children friendly and normally have some activities for them during the sermon. Some weeks are "All Age" and ewe all learn and worship together.
Not all services are the same! Sometimes it can take the form of a discussion/sharing format where folk are encouraged to take part, give their views, etc all in a non-judgemental environment whilst we seek to 'build up the Body of Christ'
We hope this gives you a flavour of what we are like as a church.
